Welcome to Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is one of the most famous wildlife destinations in the world, located in northern Tanzania. It is part of the larger Serengeti ecosystem and is known for its vast open plains, diverse wildlife, and breathtaking landscapes. The park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is especially renowned for hosting the Great Migration, where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in search of fresh grazing.

Activities Done

Visitors to the Serengeti can enjoy a wide range of exciting wildlife and nature-based activities. The most popular is game driving, where tourists explore the park in safari vehicles to see animals such as lions, elephants, giraffes, and cheetahs in their natural habitat. Other experiences include hot air balloon safaris that offer stunning aerial views of the plains, guided walking safaris for a closer connection with nature, and cultural visits to nearby Maasai communities. Best time to visit Serengeti

The Serengeti is a year-round destination, but the best time depends on what you want to see. The dry season (June to October) is ideal for general wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources. The Great Migration river crossings usually happen between July and September, while the calving season occurs from January to March, when thousands of newborn animals attract predators.

Why visit Serengeti

The Serengeti hosts one of the most spectacular natural events on Earth—the migration of over a million wildebeest and thousands of zebras moving across the plains in search of fresh grass.

The park is home to the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino) along with many other species, making it a top destination for wildlife lovers.

The word Serengeti means “endless plains” in the Maasai language, and the scenery truly lives up to the name. Vast golden grasslands stretch as far as the eye can see, dotted with flat-topped acacia trees and ancient granite kopjes. The landscapes shift beautifully with light and weather

The Serengeti provides a true African safari adventure, with opportunities to explore nature in its purest form, far from city life.

Visitors can interact with the Maasai people and learn about their traditional way of life, adding cultural depth to the trip.
